The US manufacturing sector expanded at its fastest pace in three months in December, with record increases in orders and production breaking, the strongest year since 2004, according to the Institute for supply management. Manufacturing industries around the world say they are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with demand, which may force them to raise prices as this year's global economy appears to be the strongest since 2011.
